... The definitions of licensed, insured and why to pick Affordable House & Office cleaning ? ......
I do not only provide good cleaning service .... I am also Licensed and Insured . A lot of service industries advertise using this, and promote their company by stating they are licensed and insured.
That sounds great, but what does it really mean, and how does it protect you? You can find people that are not licensed and insured. They of course offering are less expensive pricing , but if something of value is broken then you must sue to receive the money to replace said item. If your cleaner gets injured while working at your home they can sue you and you might have to pay. If nothing like this happens then you get a great cleaning service for way less than going with a licensed company. You must make the decision that is best for you.
For some professions, it is required by law to have a license to ensure you are competent and permitted in the services you offer to the public.
In Georgia you must be licensed by the state to operate as a house cleaning company.
A major benefit for conducting a licensed business is you can take the companies license number and look them up to see what their reputation in the community is through the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
Working with an insured home cleaning company is very important. This ensures you will not be held responsible in-case something happens in your home. For example if you hire an uninsured person to clean your home and they get injured on the job, they can sue you. That does not guarantee they will win, or that you will lose lots of money. It does guarantee that it will be a major headache that you probably do not have the time or patience to deal with. It might cost you money to fight it, and in the end you could potentially have to pay the person money. If you were to hire a company that is insured, you will not have to worry about this, because insured companies have plans set in place to take care of all the monetary issues that go with an injured worker. Being insured also covers you if your house cleaner breaks something accidentally.
With that being said, I can only speak on my company’s policies, and I would take everything into consideration.
I trust my clients, but mistakes and accidents are a part of life, and I appreciate my customers understanding that.
So now you know what the definitions of licensed, insured . I hope you appreciate my candor about the subject. These are some lessons people have learned the hard way, while others (the majority) will never have to deal with. The decision is up to you, if you trust the person coming into your home, and they are not licensed and insured then continue service with them. Just know the positives and negatives of hiring someone under those circumstances, and most of all, enjoy your clean home!
